Early Childhood Education in Kentucky
Early childhood education schools focus on preparing student to be teach children at the pre-school level. Early childhood education programs are typically offered at the community college level and award two-year associate’s or short term certificates upon successful completion. Program classes include classroom management, children’s literature, mathematics skill building, cognitive development, motor skills, physical education, nutrition and social development. Careers include daycare worker, learning center teacher, preschool program administrator, and daycare/preschool owner. Early childhood education jobs are expected to grow at the average pace of all other occupations according to labor statistics released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
