Early Childhood Education in New Hampshire

Early childhood education programs prepare students for various careers in the early childhood industry. Typical jobs include daycare provider, preschool teacher, learning center coordinator, daycare owner, and teacher’s aide. The majority of students attend early childhood education programs within a community college in hopes of completing a short term certificate or two-year associate’s. Students learn preschool age subject matter such as music, children’s literature, basic science and math, physical education and reading. Students also learn preschool development, cognitive development, motor skills, teaching methodologies, discipline and communication. Coursework is typically offered in the evening as many early childhood education students work full or part-time jobs.
