Educational Technology in Alabama

Educational technology schools are usually housed within a four-year college or university. Educational technology is a fast growing field, which teaches students how to effectively implement technology in the classroom to enhance the teaching and learning environment. Educational technology courses are a mixture of information technology classes and education courses. Topics covered include distance education, multimedia learning, educational software and hardware, teaching theories and methods, and educational policy. Degrees offered are typically at the two-year associate’s level and above. The majority are bachelor’s degrees that take at least four-years to complete.
