Educational Technology in California
Educational technology schools offer students with programs that lead to a degree or certification in educational technology. Educational technology programs focus on improving education programs. Classes include subject matter such as distance learning, web-based instruction, multimedia-based instruction, and assessment that utilizes technology. Graduates can work as teachers, educational technology consultants, IT workers, and software developers. Students take both education and information technology classes. Jobs are expected to grow at an average pace but may be tempered by a lack of state funding that will inhibit schools from having discretionary funds to spend on technology. Competition will be high for job openings.
