Educational Technology in Maryland

Educational technology schools provide students with educational paths that lead to bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral degrees. Educational technology deals with how to effectively implement technology software and hardware into the class to increase learning. Educational technology can be a standalone degree or an area of concentration within an IT or education degree. Courses include multimedia instruction, computer hardware, distance learning education, and teaching methodology. Students can have careers in education, information technology or consulting. The majority of graduates prefer teaching at the high school level where more sophisticated technology can be implemented compared to grade schools.
