Educational Technology in North Carolina
Educational technology schools provide degree pathways for students interested in a career in educational technology. The field combines technical expertise and learning theory to develop and improve the learning experience and programs at all educational levels using information technology. Classes cover subjects such as distance education and learning, multimedia classroom applications, multimedia and learning styles, technology for students with disabilities, and technology and assessment. Most programs offer a four-year bachelor’s or master’s degree. Some graduates end up teaching in the classroom while others consult or develop software solutions for the learning institutions. Job growth is expected to be average among all other occupations.
