Florida Institute for Complementary and Alternative Medicine

The Florida Institute for Complementary and Alternative Medicine opened its doors in February 2010, with the aim of providing students with quality schooling options in alternative and natural medicine. Offering a Complementary and Alternative Medicine Practitioner Program & Dynamic Training programs, students learn how to use successfully use and teach alternative medicine and complementary therapy in order to assist clients with achieving better health, without the use of chemicals or prescription medication. Students learn a variety of alternative medicine techniques including Reiki, hypnotherapy, acupuncture, yoga, meditation, psycho immunology, and psychology. Upon completion students can become alternative medicine practitioners, or can continue their studies in order to become experts in their chosen field.



Students use a variety of methods, such as educational training, role playing, mentoring, and field experience, in order to gain an understanding of the influences that can cause attention issues in children. Such influences include nutrition, parent/child relationships, and lack of energy. Successful attention dynamics to trainers can work with children and their parents in order to help them become more focused and productive.

Student Options

In order to qualify for admission to the Florida Institute for Complementary and Alternative Medicine, students must have proof of high school completion or equivalent. Students must be physically able to participate in training exercises, and must be 18 years or older. Applicants required to meet with admissions personal for an entrance interview to determine whether the student is a good match for the program they have chosen.

Florida Institute for Complementary and Alternative Medicine uses a non-traditional schedule that uses a combination of distance and onsite learning to help students complete their program within their own time for it. Students are required to attend at least two weekends of intensive training at the clinic per quarter.
