General Teaching in Nevada

General teaching schools in Nevada offer students interested in studying education bachelor’s and master’s degrees programs. The vast majority of students take general teaching school jobs in the public education system in grades K-5. General teachers focus on teaching theories and practices that help students learn and teachers to be as effective as possible. Bachelor’s degrees take four years to complete based upon full-time enrollment. Master’s degrees are usually pursued by current teachers and can be completed within one to three years. Core courses include educational psychology, human development, teaching and learning theory, curriculum development, and supervised teaching. The supervised teaching experience includes a term spent in the classroom gaining valuable teaching experience under the tutelage of a certified teacher.
