General Teaching in Pennsylvania

General teaching schools in Pennsylvania offer a wide range of educational options. An associate’s degree is one route students may take in obtaining a general teaching certificate in two years time. A bachelor’s degree takes four years to complete and a master’s degree in general teaching takes a total of six years on average. The core groups of classes that make up the teaching program include theoretical foundations, approaches to childhood education, and middle school language development.
