Curriculum and Instruction in New Mexico
Schools offering programs in Curriculum and Instruction prepare students to teach and present specialty programs in a dynamic manner in the classroom. What sets a curriculum and instruction degree apart from a general teaching degree is the emphasis on curriculum development and specialized areas of teaching. Classes provided allow students to become prepared to teach at any level from kindergarten through 12thgrade. The program is designed for students who want to embark on a career in curriculum and instruction by entering the workforce in leadership roles such as principals, vice principals and superintendents. Many existing teachers opt to return to school and complete a specialized degree in this program.
