Northcentral University

Northcentral University was founded in 1996 and is dedicated to providing quality, applicable online distance education in the form of bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in areas including education and business. During course completion each student’s is assigned a ""mentor"" faculty member in order to assist them with mapping out their path and ensuring they are successful. Monthly enrolment allows students to sign up for courses when convenient, and self-paced learning helps students to schedule their studies around work and home life. Programs in education are geared towards students aiming to become teachers, administrators, and executives in the world of education and instruction. Degree, certificate, and doctoral programs allow students to choose the program they wish to pursue, and many students return for further schooling in order to keep abreast of the latest teaching methods and technology.

All courses start at the beginning of each month and last for 12 weeks (16 for some doctoral courses). Learning is asynchronous, but students are required to regularly enter course rooms and be active in their learning. An online library, bookstore, and technical support are readily available. Teachers are also available at regular intervals to interact with students online, and have been specially instructed to teach online programs.

Admissions to programs vary, but all studies require a completed applications and proof of high school completion or equivalent.

Financial aid is available for those who qualify, as well as tuition payment programs so students can more easily afford their studies. In order to access Federal and State loan programs students are required to complete an online FAFSA form, which will then be forwarded by the Department of Education to the University one your financial need has been assessed.
