Olivet Nazarene University
Founded in 1907, this Bourbonnais, Illinois University is situated on a 250 acre campus, and offers a variety of associate's, bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees for students. Considered one of the premiere Christian post-secondary schools in the nation, Olivet Nazarene University offers exceptional faith-based programs, and has awarded over 20,000 degrees to its students.
There are many programs to choose from in undergraduate and graduate studies. Students can obtain teaching degrees in different types of education – primary, secondary, early childhood education, as well as master's degrees in order to offer specialized education to those students who really need it. Students wishing to pursue teaching opportunities in a Christian environment can also receive an education in bible studies and Christian education.
Student OptionsThe university has many school application options for new, returning, or adult students wishing to enroll in Olivet Nazarene University programs. Admission requirements vary by program, but at a minimum require proof of high school completion or equivalent, and some programs have SAT or ACT score restrictions.
Once students have graduated they are encouraged to take advantage of the resources offered by the Career Services department at Olivet Nazarene University in order to help reduce the time and effort needed to locate their first post-graduate career.
Olivet Nazarene University also has an Office of Student Development which is tasked with ensuring that students are provided with a stimulating campus environment by providing support, counseling, and regularly scheduled activities.
Financial AidOnce students have applied to Olivet Nazarene University, they can fill out a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and submit it to the school. It is recommended that forms be sent to the university as close to January 1st as possible, since some programs have limited funds which will be awarded on a first come, first served basis.
