The only Jesuit University in Colorado, Regis University has been offering competitive courses and degrees to students since 1877. Located near the Rocky Mountains, Regis University has a variety of programs, and has been named a top Western school by the US News and World Report for 14 straight years. Regis University opened a College for Professional Studies in 2007, which houses individual schools in management, computers, education, and humanities. They also offer an online MBA degree program which allows professionals to upgrade their skills and become leaders in their industry by offering relevant, current material and training.

In 1997, the university built the Institute on the Common Good which teaches tomorrow's leaders how to establish strong, healthy, and happy communities based on trust. Graduates of the program can use their skills for negotiating and planning.

Regis University gives extensive career help to its students – with job searches, career tests, and career preparation workshops, so students are prepared to enter the workforce successfully when they graduate. The Career Services Department is open weekdays, and also can schedule evening appointments should students need to meet later in the day in order to accommodate other responsibilities.

Regis University encourages students to complete a FAFSA application so they can assess students' financial need, and so students can qualify for federal and state grants. In addition, Regis University has access to over $130 million in grants, loans, scholarships and other types of financial assistance. They also offer a work study program to help students defer the cost of their education.
