Secondary Education
High school teachers have it tough, it's true. Teenagers aren't the easiest group of students to teach. But the rewards from preparing these young adults to go out and conquer the world are invaluable. The job of a high school teacher is one of the most important roles in education. Secondary education builds upon the basics students learned in elementary school to prepare and equip them with the knowledge – in English, writing, math, science, and other subjects – they will need when they reach adulthood. Instead of teaching many subjects like their elementary school counterparts, secondary education teachers are responsible for teaching one subject, and well, to students before they go on to college or enter the workforce and, one hopes, find success in life.
