Specialized Teaching in Delaware

Specialized teaching schools are becoming more prevalent as education breaks into the private sector and further away from the public market. Specialized teaching positions are becoming more popular among charter schools, private for-profit colleges, and some public schools. Specialized teaching positions include adult basic education teachers, special education instructors, educational technology instructors, and reading or language arts specialists. Degrees offered in this program include four-year bachelor’s, six-year master’s and in some cases doctorate degrees. The employment forecast is on the rise over the next decade, due to early retirement options and increased funding within the Delaware public schools system.
