Specialized Teaching in Kentucky
Specialized teaching schools prepare students for careers as specialized teachers in the public school system. Students become experts in the educational fields of literacy, language arts, science and mathematics. Specialized teaching degree program graduates may also choose to instruct certain populations of students such as gifted students, adult learners, English as a second language (ESL) students, and special needs students. Classes vary greatly depending on the area of specialty and path the student wants to take. Fairly good job prospects are available in the state of Kentucky and expected to plateau over the next five years according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
