Specialized Teaching in Nevada

Specialized teaching schools prepare students for careers within a variety of education fields, such as reading, math, science, language arts, adult basic education, and special education. Bachelor’s and master’s degrees are available in the specialized teaching industry. Students are required to take such core classes as learning theory, classroom management, educational psychology, instruction and technology, and teaching foundations. Classes in the subject matter the student plans to teach must also be taken such as mathematics, science, language arts, reading, writing or social science. Both in-class coursework and in the classroom teaching experience is required prior to graduation.
