Specialized Teaching in North Carolina
Specialized teaching schools involve a variety of degree options that are different from the standard teaching program. Graduates of a four-year bachelor’s degree program in specialized teaching become qualified to teach specialized populations of students such as English as a second language (ESL) students, adult learners, disabled learning students and more. Teachers and instructors in the specialized teaching program specialize in providing assistance to very specific demographics. The outlook for the program and employment is favorable over the next decade according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Due to retirement ages of baby boomers and increased funding employment rates are increasing at a steady rate.
