St. Joseph's University

This private, coeducational, Roman Catholic university was established in 1851 and is located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. With over 7500 students each year, St. Joseph's University has a broad selection of undergraduate, study-abroad options, and graduate studies. The main campus is situated on 100 acres and students unable to attend the campus can participate in online study programs.



The college offers liberal arts education, and students can choose from studies in many different fields. St. Joseph's University also offers career training, continuing education, and leadership instruction to create students who are dedicated to a life of self improvement and service to their community.

Student Options

Students applying to St. Joseph's University are recommended to apply for early admission before November 15, or regular admission by February 1. After filling out an application, students can submit their high school transcripts, SAT or ACT scores, a letter of recommendation, as well as a completed entrance essay.

Guidance counselors are also available to help students choose programs, declare majors, locate campus housing, and find support in order to succeed at college life. With distance learning and weekend classes available, students can find a program that fits their schedule and lifestyle.

Upon completion of their program students can access resources offered by the university's Career Development Center, which hosts regular career fairs to help student connect and network with potential employers.

Students can make an appointment with a Career Advisor, or they can come to the Career Development Center during walk-in hours.

Financial Aid

Approximately 85% of students at St. Joseph's University receive some form of financial aid, and the university encourages all students to complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and submit it between January 1 and February 15. Students should contact the financial assistance office for more information on financial aid programs.
